Banana Leaf in South Surrey

My recent visit to Banana Leaf in South Surrey was an absolute pleasure, largely thanks to both the delicious food and the exceptional service. From the moment we were seated, our server, Edward, was incredibly attentive and genuinely nice. He truly elevated our dining experience. Edward's recommendations were spot on. We opted for the special he suggested, the pork ribs, and they were incredibly tasty – tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The string beans he recommended were also a hit, fresh and well-seasoned. It was clear that Edward had a fantastic grasp of the menu and was able to guide us to some truly excellent dishes. One of the standout features of Banana Leaf is their impressive variety of rice options, including coconut rice and chicken rice. We tried a few, and each was perfectly prepared and added a wonderful dimension to our meal. What's even better is that despite the high quality, the prices were very reasonable. Overall, Banana Leaf offers a fantastic dining experience. With delicious food, a diverse menu, and outstanding service from individuals like Edward, it's definitely a spot I'd recommend in South Surrey.

The decor: modern, chic, Asian fusion. A place for photos Service: exceptional! Our server was a kind gentleman and he was very attentive and polite! Friendly greeting! Atmosphere: not too loud, but nice busy Food: phenomenal!!!! We tried 25 for 7 courses during Dine-Out event. I loved all food. Never knew Roti was so tasty!!! Crispy yet chewy and the sauces were great too! From appie to dessert, there was not a single thing I didn't enjoy. Definitely come back for more!

My boyfriend and I just had the most amazing dinner for date night! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great dining experience. The restaurant was impressively clean, and service was both fast and convenient, perfect for a relaxed yet efficient night out. We were especially impressed by the staff, Genesis and Cecelia went above and beyond. They were incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable, taking time to explain the dishes and offering thoughtful recommendations. We ordered a delicious spread: the roti with curry sauce (flaky and rich), satay skewers (we tried chicken, lamb, and beef, finished before I could even take a pic! But all grilled to perfection), ginger beef and broccoli (a comforting classic), mi goreng (packed with flavour but not too heavy), and lamb curry (not pictured, but unforgettable—the lamb was so tender it melted in your mouth). We finished with the mango sticky rice, which was the perfect sweet ending; light and refreshing. The flavours across all dishes were well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice; nothing overpowering, just enough to excite the palate. My boyfriend and I will definitely plan to return and will be trying their 12-course meal for two next time!

ordered the passion fruit cocktail, but it was too sweet at first. The staff was very kind and adjusted it twice until the flavor was perfect. I also ordered the curry and lobster tail — both were delicious.

Had an amazing experience dining in at this location with my family, food is amazing, very delicious and special mention to Andy he made our night amazing....I will definitely recommend Banana Leaf especially this location, very nice decoration and people are very nice. Absolutely wonderful experience 10/10

Very nice place with friendly staff. Food is also very good. Above all, there is no problem with parking like downtown location. Highly recommended for Malaysian food.

Today is my third times to this place because their foods were so good. The server here also very polite and friendly. Place is quite and comfortable to dine-in with family or friends. Price is reasonable, not too expensive. Parking is convenient. Highly recommend this place.

I’m from Texas and coming here was very cool. The atmosphere was very nice with great lighting and plants. The food was amazing too!! The volcano laksa was the best I’ve ever had and the flat noodles were amazing too! The fried banana with ice cream and mango sticky rice tasted very fresh and clean. Would recommend!!!
